Chakras In Hinduism and its spiritual systems of yoga and in some related eastern cultures, as well as in some segments of the New Age movement -- and to some degree the distinctly different New Thought movement - a chakra is thought to be an energy node in the human body. It is said that each chakra can be activated through mediation techniques like yoga. The word comes from the Sanskrit
"cakra" meaning "wheel, circle", and sometimes also referring to the
"wheel of life". The pronunciation of this word can be approximated in
English by 'chuhkruh', with ch as in chart and both instances - the
commonly found pronunciation 'shockrah' is incorrect. It refers to
each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy
system, is composed.
The Root Chakra is associated with the element of earth, and reflects something about the person's association with the earth, or how they feel about being on the earth, which we call Mother Earth.Your sense of groundedness and security lies here. Have trouble finding or making a comfortable, secure home for yourself? Does your income barely cover your living expenses, or is your job stressful and unfulfilling? Longing to finally experience wealth and prosperity? If this sounds like you, your base chakra could use a tune-up. To balance
this chakra: House cleaning and cooking is also grounding. Hug a tree , take care of your plants .
The sacral chakra rules pleasure, creativity, emotions, and sexuality. If there is a blockage here, any desire to express yourself, indulge in the sensuality of life, or to let go & be in the flow gets stopped dead in its tracks by fear of embarrassment, failure, or simple “I can’t do it” or “I don’t deserve that” thoughts. Your creativity will be rigid and stifled. Self-nurturing and simply feeling good about life will fall off your list of priorities. And your sex life will be anything but thriving and active. The sense of taste is associated with this chakra, as is the element of water. The feeling of pleasure is also linked with this Chakra, To balance this
chakra:
This Chakra is a focus point for our force of will and our sense of transformation. Concentration and control of our personal energies originate from this point. One’s sense of power and authority, as well as self-control and discipline of the ego converge here. The element associated with this chakra is fire, and the person's relationship with the sun. The main issues here are empowerment, self-confidence, spontaneity and the ability to face challenges. If you find yourself constantly being stepped on by others, are plagued by doubts about your own capabilities, or constantly second-guess yourself and your decisions, the culprit lies in an imbalanced solar plexus chakra. To balance this chakra Rub your
belly, visualize sunshine radiating out from your solar plexus,
This Chakra also nurtures the rarified feeling of unconditional or divine love, love that goes beyond the physical. This chakra is associated with the element of air. When someone has difficulty with air, with breathing (asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, etc.) The heart chakra governs love, relationships and our connectedness to others, and our sense of kindness and compassion. Have trouble relating to other people and forming lasting relationships? Do you find yourself being overly-critical or judgmental of others at times? Want to become a better person by increasing your sense of empathy, understanding, and forgiveness for others? Align your heart chakra and watch these positive qualities emerge. To balance this chakra: Give freely
your service to others , watch tender movies ,listen to romantic soft
music,
This Chakra
is linked to one’s powers of communication. Through this Chakra, one can
realize truth and knowledge; honesty, kindness and wisdom. The throat
chakra rules your self-expression and your communication. People who talk
too much or on the flipside, appear shy or overly-reserved have a throat
chakra imbalance. Opening up the throat chakra gives a greater ability to
put feelings and thoughts into words and gives an ease with all sorts of
communication – whether it be writing, singing, talking or other creative
modes of expression like art, dance, or music. The throat chakra is also
vital to our quest to speak and share our personal truth, as well as be
open to others people’s. Parts of the body associated with this chakra include the throat, shoulders, and arms and hands. and the thyroid gland To balance this chakra: Sing,
chant, hum. Listen to music that you really like.Take a walk and
The Brow chakra, also known as the
Third Eye, is associated with extra sensory perception (ESP), This Chakra
is related to our perception beyond the physical realm. Intuition,
insight, imagination and clairvoyance can all be associated with this
Chakra. "Third Eye" in Buddhist and other belief systems. Our intuitive
and psychic gifts, imagination, and higher intelligence all falls under
the umbrella of the third eye chakra. An imbalance here will produce lack
of imagination, narrow-mindedness and poor coping skills – any sign of
pressure of stress will cause you to crack and fumble your
responsibilities. Poor memory and difficulty concentration will plague
you. Balance the third eye chakra and watch your intellectual and psychic
abilities increase, as well as your ability to visualize and manifest your
greatest dreams. To
balance and to awaken this chakra:
This Chakra is
deeply tied to the exploration of one’s consciousness and place in space
and time. Oneness with the universe, your spirit and will, inspiration,
divine wisdom. This chakra is also associated with a sense of direction.
The crown chakra rules all things spiritual – one sense of oneness with
the Universe, wisdom, understanding, and our higher puprose. If your life
seems meaningless or you feel a sense of aimlessness and lack of
direction, seek to align the crown chakra. Greater awareness of life as
well as a strengthened connection to a Higher Power results from a strong,
balanced crown chakra. To balance

Chakra Meditation Steps
To perform this meditation you will chant sounds and visualize moving colors under your palm while placing a hand over each chakra location.
Continue up your spine, doing your best to get a hand over each area. Start with one time down your front and one time up your spine. Work you way up to 3x in front and 3x in back. The first few times you start chanting mantra's you may get a head-rush so take it slow. Eventually, you'll start to get sensations in your body and palms.

The seven chakras are said by some to reflect how the unified consciousness of man (the immortal human being or the soul), is divided to manage different aspects of earthly life (body/instinct/vital energy/deeper emotions/communication/having an overview of life/contact to God). The chakras are placed at differing levels of spiritual subtletly, with Sahasrara at the top being concerned with pure consciousness, and Muladhara at the bottom being concerned with matter, which is seen simply as crudified consciousness.

Benefit of Benefits 108 With such a huge list of benefits, the question you should ask yourself is, “why am I not meditating yet?” Top 10 Profound Benefits of
Meditation
1. Enlightenment: This is the
one ultimate purpose of meditation. To help you discover the True Non-Dual
Nature of Reality.
To make you
realize that your True Self is Divine.
2. Peace & Tranquility: The mind of one who meditates is like the easy, leisurely flow of the Ganges River, as compared to
the ordinary mind, which is like Niagara Falls. In other words your mind
is at peace,
deeply silent
and so you are at peace.
3. Wisdom: Meditation opens up the channels of communication between all levels of your being. What this means
is that you have access now to the guidance that is coming directly from
your Divine Self.
This link gives
rise to the flow of intuition and wisdom.
4. Joy & Happiness: Meditation strips away the layers of false identity that mask your True Self from shinning through. Once you
eliminate these false egos and stop catering to their nonsense you can
reside in your True Nature.
This brings
forth joy and happiness as it allows you to be at ease with life,
existence and yourself.
5. Love & Compassion: As meditation reveals to you the interconnectedness of all humanity a great sense of compassion and
love will spontaneously emerge. Knowing that deep within we are all divine
in nature
will change the
way you view the apparent differences you see in others.
This will also
dramatically improve your relationships both intimate and casual.
6. Stress Reduction & Good Health: This goes hand in hand. As meditation teaches you the art of living in the present moment, anxiety and
worry fade more and more into the background.
This state of
relaxed awareness is most beneficial, to not only helping the body heal
itself,
but also for
preventing illness and disease by eliminating the poison of
stress.
7. Improved Brain Function: All serious meditators know how much their brain function has been enhanced by meditation. Now, empirical
studies every day are indicating this link.
Meditation will
undoubtedly increase your awareness and will significantly increase your
intelligence.
8. Discover Your Purpose & Gifts: As you start to drop those aspects of you that are artificial and pretentious you will get a
chance to see the real you.
The parts that
are not put on but are natural. This will give you insight into who you
really are and what you really love in life.
That is the
secret of mastering the art of living and discovering your true talents,
gifts and purpose.
That which you
love, you do for its own sake without the need for reward of accolades.
Once this is
discovered, life can be lived with passion, zeal and
independence.

Yoga and Meditation awakens those regions of the Brain that normally lie
dormant.
When these
areas of the brain are activated the powers they hold are unleashed.
Such powers,
used wisely, can be of benefit to others and of help to you in making
progress on the spiritual path.
