Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Recipes

These Recipes are for Essential oils, bath and massage recipes, aromatherapy blends and formulas and much, much more.

Recipes below are for all your needs for your First Aid requirements. See other sections for recipes relating to Personal Care, Sports etc.



First Aid Box

Antiseptic Cream

* 50mls unscented neutral Cream
* 4 drops Tea Tree
* 4 drops Lemon
* 4
drops Rosemary


Or


* 50mls unscented neutral Cream
* 6 drops Lavender
* 6 drops Tea Tree


Mix the oils well with the cream




Sunburn Cream

* 250mls Spring Water
* 20 drops Lavender


or

* 5ml Aloe Vera gel
* 5 drops Lavender





Abrasions

* Small bowl of warm water
* 5 drops lavender

Clean well with warm water and Lavender. Then apply * 1 drop undiluted Lavender oil directly
to the abrasion and leave to heal. Lavender is one of the few oils that can be used undiluted
directly onto the skin



A
thletes Foot and Ringworm

* 5mls Sweet Almond/Grapeseed base oil
* 1 drop Lavender
*2 drops Tea Tree

Mix oils thoroughly with the base oil and apply to infected area with cotton swab





Minor Burns


* Ice cold water
* 2 drops Lavender

Apply the ice cold water directly to the burn for 10mins and then
apply the Lavender directly onto the minor burn




Chest & Sinus problems

* Bowl of steaming hot water
* 2 drops Lavender
* 2 drops Eucalyptus
* 2 drops Rosemary


Cover head with towel while leaning over the bowl of steaming water with oils added.
Inhale the steam for about 3 mins, keeping your eyes closed




Colds & Flu

* 10mls Milk or Cream
* 2 drops Lavender
* 2 drops Eucalyptus
* 2 drops Rosemary

Add oils to milk or cream and add to a warm bath. .........or, place in an oil burner and
diffuse into the room..........Do not include the milk or cream for this method.....lol


or

* 4 drops Orange
* 2 drops of Lemon
* 2 drops Cinnamon

Add oils to warm bath before getting in.



Headaches

* 2 drops Lavender

Massage the Lavender oil directly onto the temples and the base of the skull




Promote Sleep

* 20mls Plain Base Oil
* 4 drops Lavender

Mix oil well with base oil and place in diffuser and diffuse into the room

or

* 5mls Milk or Cream
* 3 drops Lavender
* 1 drop Clary Sage

Mix oils well with milk or cream and pour into a warm bath just before going to bed




Muscle pain

* 20mls Plain Base oil
* 2 drops Lavender
* 2 drops Rosemary


Mix oils and base oil and massage into the affected area
